If you're on the hunt for a powerful gaming rig, Dell's current deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 equipped with an RTX 5080 is hard to beat. You can snag this beast of a machine starting at just $2,349.99, shipped right to your door. This is a steal for a prebuilt PC that's engineered to handle 4K gaming at high frame rates, making it a smart choice in today's market where standalone RTX 5080 GPUs command hefty markups.

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC packs an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a speedy 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU can turbo up to 5.3GHz, boasting 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's kept cool with a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

Dell is now offering another RTX 5080 configuration with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285 processor, available for just $100 more. This CPU can hit a max turbo frequency of 5.6GHz and features 24 cores, providing a slight edge over the Ultra 7 for rendering and productivity tasks, though gaming performance remains similar.
The RTX 5080 is Nvidia's second-best Blackwell graphics card, only outdone by the RTX 5090, which comes with a hefty $2,000 price tag. It's 5%-10% faster than the now-discontinued RTX 4080 Super. With the new DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation exclusive to Blackwell cards, the performance gap widens significantly in compatible games.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE Review, by Jacqueline Thomas
"If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be worth the upgrade – it just doesn’t offer a significant performance lead over the RTX 4080, though the extra frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do enhance gameplay in supported titles. However, for gamers with older graphics cards looking for a major performance boost, the RTX 5080 is a game-changer, especially if you're keen on Nvidia’s AI enhancements."
