Introduced at CES 2024, the Alienware AW3225QF stands out as one of Dell's two OLED monitors that merge 4K resolution with an OLED panel. Its counterpart, the 27" Alienware AW2725Q, was released earlier this year. The AW3225QF utilizes Samsung's QD OLED technology, which offers superior brightness compared to traditional OLED panels while preserving the hallmark near-infinite response times, contrast ratios, and black levels. This monitor is HDR True Black 400 certified, boasting peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits. It also features a factory-calibrated 99.3% DCI-P3 color range, a 1700R curve, a 240Hz refresh rate, and G-Sync certification.
In terms of connectivity, the AW3225QF is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports (one with eARC) and a DisplayPort 1.4, all capable of handling 4K at up to 240Hz. Additionally, it includes USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for peripherals and a USB Type-C port for charging. Dell backs this monitor with a comprehensive three-year warranty that includes protection against burn-in.
Keep in mind that to fully leverage a 4K monitor like this, you'll need a robust GPU. 4K resolution boasts 2.25 times more pixels than QHD, meaning for optimal gaming at up to 240fps, your gaming PC should be equipped with at least an GeForce RTX 4070. For those with even more powerful setups like an RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4090, or RX 7900XTX, this monitor will be an ideal match.
