Creative director Jonathan Dumont shared that completing the main storyline of Assassin's Creed Shadows will take about 30 to 40 hours, with optional content adding another 30 to 40 hours, totaling around 80 hours of gameplay. This estimate was revealed in an interview with journalist Genki, offering players a clear idea of the time investment required. Dumont previously compared Shadows to earlier titles like Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, but their varying lengths made the analogy less precise. He clarified that Shadows aligns closely with Origins in scope. According to How Long To Beat, Origins requires roughly 30 hours for the main campaign and up to 80 hours for completionists.

Get ready—Assassin's Creed Shadows launches on March 20th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
