Baldur's Gate 3 offers a wealth of romance options, but some encounters are easily missed. One such hidden gem is Naoise Nallinto, found at Sharess' Caress. This brief romance unfolds during a pivotal moment in the game, making it easy to overlook. This guide will help you locate Naoise and navigate this unique romantic encounter.

Where to Find Naoise Nallinto in Baldur's Gate 3

Finding Naoise at Sharess' Caress in Act III:

To meet Naoise, you must progress to the early stages of Act III. While traveling to Baldur's Gate, you'll pass through Wyrm's Crossing. During your first visit, you'll encounter Raphael at Sharess' Caress, a brothel located on the eastern side of the bridge leading into Baldur's Gate.

If you've already explored Wyrm's Crossing, use the South Span of Wyrm's Crossing fast-travel point to quickly reach Sharess' Caress.

Locating the Nymph's Grotto:

Naoise resides in the Nymph's Grotto, a chamber on the second floor. Look for a door with a green light and ivy – it's locked, but easily pickable with a lockpicking skill check of 10 or higher.

Initiating the Encounter:

Inside the Grotto, you'll find Naoise with Jara, a Flaming Heart soldier. Their intimate moment is interrupted by your arrival. Jara's reaction will trigger dialogue options. One effective approach is to select:

  • "Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken."

This leads to a confrontation, culminating in a battle with a mind flayer transformed Jara. After defeating her, Naoise reveals her interest in mind flayers. A suggested response is:

  • "Your client is dead. I thought you'd be more upset."

This signals Naoise's openness to romance. A successful Insight check confirms her receptiveness. To proceed with the romance, consider these options:

  • "What did you have in mind?"
  • "Close your eyes and listen"

The ensuing romance is a mental experience. Naoise asks you to choose what you "will be," offering several options:

  • Revered
  • Contented
  • Powerful
  • Rich
  • I think we're done here.

Selecting "Contented," for example, triggers a brief romantic scene. This encounter is unique; Naoise shows no further interest after this single event. Returning later will only yield an offer of a single "rapture." Note that even with an existing relationship (like with Karlach in our playthrough), this encounter seems to have no negative consequences for other companions.

Shadowheart will reward you with the "Carnal Rituals of Sharess" inspiration point upon completion. The successful romance grants the "Rapture" boon, providing a passive +1d6 bonus to most ability checks.
