Beloved Sims Character Joins The Sims 4

May 19,2025 Author: Caleb

Attention, Sim enthusiasts! The infamous Burglar is making a grand return to your virtual neighborhoods with the latest update for The Sims 4. Available now on both PC and console, this update brings back the notorious Robin Banks, ready to challenge your Sims' security measures.

Robin Banks prefers to strike under the cover of darkness, typically when your Sims are fast asleep. However, don't let your guard down—she's been known to attempt bold heists even when Sims are awake. To protect your valuables, consider installing a burglar alarm. If triggered, it ensures the police arrive promptly to apprehend Banks and recover your stolen items. Even without an alarm, a swift call to the authorities can save the day. For those who prefer a more hands-on approach, vigilante justice is always an option.

The Burglar is finally in The Sims 4, over 10 years after it came out. While these events are not common, you can increase your chances of encountering Robin Banks by activating the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc.

The Sims team expressed their excitement about bringing the Burglar back into the game, stating, "We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe. Sending a special shout out to our full team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses — she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite being a decade old, The Sims 4 continues to grow, with the series celebrating its 25th anniversary. Last year alone, it welcomed over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4 reached 20 million unique players within four years of its premium release. The shift to a free-to-play model in 2022 saw an incredible surge, adding 31 million new players immediately and reaching a total of 85 million players by May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5.
