Baldur’s Gate 3's upcoming Patch 7 promises a chilling new evil ending, offering a terrifying glimpse into the consequences of a fully wicked playthrough.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7: A New Level of Evil
An Ending Even Bhaal Would Approve Of
Larian Studios recently unveiled a 52-second cinematic teaser on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing a new evil ending for Patch 7. The Dark Urge takes center stage, highlighting the grim repercussions of embracing pure evil.
SPOILER WARNING!
The preview depicts the horrifying fate of the Dark Urge's companions. They witness their leader succumb to Bhaal's influence, seizing control of the Netherbrain. This harrowing scene foreshadows a reign of terror, with the companions becoming the first victims.
The Dark Urge uses mind control to force their companions to their deaths. A chilling voiceover declares, "Time for the final act. Your tragedy has become mankind's," before a similar fate befalls the Dark Urge.
This is just one of several new evil endings planned for Patch 7. Larian's April community update promised "improved evil endings...for even darker conclusions to your most sinister playthroughs," accessible even without playing as the Dark Urge. Previously teased endings included the Dark Urge amidst a sea of blood and corpses, and a town consumed by "sheer mindless bliss" under the True Absolute.
