Deck the Halls in Stellar Blade!
Shift Up is spreading holiday cheer to Xion with new Christmas-themed costumes, decorations, and a festive mini-game launching December 17th. Eve and other characters sport vibrant new holiday attire:
Complete Eve's look with the Santa Girl hairstyle and accessories like Snow Crystal Glasses, Wreath Earrings, and Sleigh Ear Cuffs.
A Festive Xion Awaits!
Xion is transformed into a winter wonderland, adorned with warm lights and festive decorations. The Last Gulp and Eve's camp share the festive spirit, complete with seasonal BGM ("Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away"). A new mini-game, involving a holiday-themed drone, offers special rewards for skilled shots.
Control Your Festive Fun!
This update introduces an option to enable or disable seasonal events, including the Nier:Automata DLC. Navigate to Settings > Gameplay > Seasonal Event Content and choose:
Note: Changing this setting requires a game restart.
Mixed Reception:
Following the December 16th announcement, the update received mostly positive feedback, with many players creatively dubbing Eve "Christmas Eve." However, some expressed concern about the frequency of event updates in a single-player game with a relatively short playtime (around 30 hours). The need to restart the game to fully experience the seasonal content was also a point of contention. Unlike games with multiplayer or high replayability, Stellar Blade's shorter length necessitates a restart to fully enjoy these limited-time additions.
