BLJ Games has just released BLJ Bombones, a delightful pixel-art platformer set in a vibrant candy factory. The premise is simple yet engaging: a sweets shop has been overrun by pesky insects, and it's your mission, along with your Bonbons, to find a way to escape this sugary chaos.
In BLJ Bombones, players will navigate through five uniquely designed areas, each filled with its own set of challenges and infested with spiders and other insects. The game promises a sinfully sweet journey as you leap through these confectionery stages, dodging the critters that have invaded your candy haven.
One of the most intriguing aspects of BLJ Bombones is the possibility of getting doused in sugar during your adventure. This not only gives your character a quirky new look but also adds a fun twist to the gameplay. While it's unclear whether this sugar coating affects your platforming abilities, it certainly adds to the game's charm. Whether it's purely aesthetic or has some functional impact, it's a sweet addition to the experience.
The trailer reveals an exciting stage where players can swim in chocolate while fending off ice-cream-themed enemies that shoot candy balls. Who wouldn't want to dive into a pool of chocolate? Accompanied by a catchy retro soundtrack, BLJ Bombones seems poised to be a delightful pick-me-up on gloomy days.
