Breaking: Unlock Legacy Content with Guide to XP Tokens in Black Ops 6

Jan 18,2025 Author: Mia

The return of the classic Call of Duty Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has made XP grinding more popular than ever. Players familiar with recent CoD titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone have a potential shortcut: Legacy XP Tokens. Here's how to utilize them.

Understanding Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6

Following the Season 01 update to Black Ops 6 and Warzone, many players discovered a surplus of previously unseen XP tokens in Black Ops 6. This allowed for accelerated XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression. However, a November 15th update addressed this, disabling the direct activation of Legacy XP tokens within the Black Ops 6 interface, as noted in the Call of Duty Blog.

These Legacy XP Tokens are leftover, unused tokens carried over from previous CoD titles accessible through the COD HQ app, such as Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, or Warzone. These tokens were earned through various methods in those games, including DMZ missions, Battle Pass tiers, and promotions with brands like Little Caesar's and Monster Energy. While directly usable in Black Ops 6 was temporarily unavailable, they remain active in Warzone.

Utilizing Warzone XP Tokens in Black Ops 6

Initially, players could activate their Warzone Legacy XP tokens directly within Black Ops 6. This functionality was temporarily removed. However, a workaround existed:

Activate the Legacy XP Tokens in Warzone. Then, launch Black Ops 6. The token and its timer would then appear in your Black Ops 6 UI. This method required switching between games, and the tokens had a real-time countdown. Despite the minor inconvenience, it significantly boosted leveling speed in Black Ops 6.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
