Developed by Choice Provisions, the creative minds behind the BIT.TRIP series, Breakout Beyond challenges players to break bricks as they advance. Originally intended as an exclusive title for the Intellivision Amico in 2020, Breakout Beyond's development was taken over by Atari. The Intellivision Amico, announced in 2018 with an anticipated 2020 release, has faced numerous delays and setbacks. Atari acquired the branding and rights to Intellivision last year, but the Amico console itself remains unreleased.
Breakout Beyond is scheduled to launch later this year across multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the Atari VCS, ensuring a wide audience can experience this innovative take on a classic game.
