In *Fields of Mistria*, managing your farm's growth is a key aspect of gameplay, and as you progress, you might find the need for more space to expand your crops and animals. Luckily, the game's v0.13.0 update introduced the Farm Expansion feature, which significantly increases your farm's area by extending it across the river to the right, providing you with a new plot to cultivate and build upon.

To unlock this feature, head over to the **Carpenter’s Shop** located in the Eastern Road area. Although you can purchase the Farm Expansion as early as your first year in Mistria, there are significant prerequisites you need to meet. Firstly, you must elevate the town to **Rank 55** by accumulating enough Renown points. Concurrently, you'll need to unlock and complete the Stone Refinery repair quest, which also requires Town Rank 55. These steps are interconnected, ensuring a progressive challenge as you prepare for your farm's expansion.

After meeting these initial requirements, the next step involves gathering the necessary materials for the expansion. Be prepared for a substantial investment, both in terms of resources and effort.

To begin the expansion process, visit the Carpenter’s Shop, situated northeast of Mistria’s town center on the Eastern Road. From the shop’s menu, select ‘Farm Expansion’ at the bottom to review the requirements.

The first requirement is a hefty sum of **40,000 Tesserae**. Accumulating this amount will require diligent efforts in gathering resources, farming, and completing quests. Regularly explore the Mines, engage in fishing, and contribute new items to the Museum to boost your earnings.

Next, you'll need **50 x Refined Stone**, which can only be obtained after repairing the **Stone Refinery**. Remember, you need to reach Town Rank 55 and repair the Inn before this becomes possible.

Finally, gather **50 x Hard Wood**, the easiest of the materials to collect. Once you've acquired a **Copper Axe**, chop the **large tree stumps** around your farm and beyond, each yielding 2 x Hard Wood. Alternatively, you can purchase Hard Wood from **Balor’s Cart** on certain days or earn it by donating to the Museum.

Once you've gathered all the required materials and funds, return to the Carpenter’s Shop and select ‘Buy’ to purchase the expansion. This action will extend your farm eastward across the river, complete with a bridge for easy access.

That's all you need to know about building the farm expansion in *Fields of Mistria*. For more tips and guides on the game, including how to craft Essence Stones, be sure to explore our other resources.
