The cancellation of the Wonder Woman game and the subsequent closure of Monolith Productions by Warner Bros. disappointed many fans. However, comic book writer and consultant Gail Simone, who worked with Monolith on the project, reveals the game was truly exceptional.
Simone describes the canceled title as "absolutely amazing." While unable to share specifics, she assures fans it aimed to be more than just a great game; it was designed as a landmark Wonder Woman experience, a benchmark epic.
She highlights the team's dedication: "Everyone who worked on it gave 100%. Programmers, artists, designers—everyone cared deeply about creating a near-perfect product. I’ve rarely worked with a group so committed to excellence."
Monolith reportedly poured significant effort into integrating the game deeply within the DC Universe, prioritizing authenticity and depth. Simone believes comic fans would have considered it a "dream come true." Despite its cancellation, the project stands as a testament to the studio's ambition and creativity, a potential landmark in superhero gaming history.
