Despite mixed critical reception—IGN awarded it a 5/10, criticizing its lack of originality and underwhelming plot despite strong performances from the cast—the film's success is noteworthy. The film's long-term performance will be crucial in determining whether it can reverse the recent trend of underperforming MCU films (excluding last year's highly successful Deadpool & Wolverine), and build anticipation for upcoming releases like Thunderbolts in May and The Fantastic Four: First Steps in July.
