Castle Doombad is back! The popular tower defense strategy game, originally released in 2014, returns as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay on Android. Developed by Grumpyface Studios and published by Yodo1, this mobile version offers a fresh take on the classic.
Grumpyface, known for hits like Steven Universe: Attack the Light and Teeny Titans, initially planned a single remake. However, they wisely divided the project: Free To Slay for mobile, and Castle Doombad Classic (a remastered version with updated content) for Nintendo Switch and Steam (releasing later this year). A sequel, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!, is also in development.
In Castle Doombad: Free To Slay, you'll build a wicked lair, defend against heroic do-gooders, and utilize traps and minions as your ultimate weapons. It's a delightfully villainous twist on the genre.
Check out the game trailer below!
The free-to-play game features ads and optional in-app purchases. Enjoy the complete original game with 70 stages, daily challenges, endless modes, 30+ traps, and 100+ unlockable items.
A new cosmetic system, "spoils," lets you customize your Dark Lord and his lair with evil artifacts. Combine these with "Baddie Bonus" perks for a personalized villainous experience.
A challenging new roguelite mode, "Dr. Lord Evilstein's Roguevenge," adds randomly generated castle layouts and powerful Nightmares granting unique abilities. Download Castle Doombad: Free To Slay from the Google Play Store today!
