Cat Takes on Butter: Purrfect Puzzler, "Cato," Leaps into Action!

An adorable new game, Cato: Buttered Cat, is launching on Android soon! The name's a clever blend of "cat" and "toast," reflecting the game's unique premise. Ever wondered what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers did, and the result is a perpetually spinning, gravity-defying feline spectacle!

Originally a 2022 BOOOM Gamejam entry by Team Woll, the game's positive reception led to its full development. Already available on Steam for PC, Cato: Buttered Cat is headed to Android and other platforms. While the Google Play listing isn't live yet, you can pre-register on the official TapTap page.

Gameplay in Cato: Buttered Cat

This puzzle platformer lets you control both a cat and a piece of buttered toast. Work together to solve puzzles, overcome enemies, and explore whimsical worlds.

Explore five unique worlds filled with quirky contraptions and 200 levels (including side quests). Uncover a story revealed through scattered clues, and dress your cat in 30 different outfits!

The cat's agility and the toast's projectile capabilities create fun interactions. Use the toast to propel the cat to otherwise inaccessible areas. Plus, discover hidden rooms and Easter eggs!
