- Clash of Clans' The Epic Raid concludes fundraising campaign
- Final tally reaches 9 times the original funding goal
- Tabletop adaptation delivers authentic Clash experience
When Supercell first unveiled Clash of Clans: The Epic Raid, its overwhelming success came as no surprise. The tabletop adaptation of the mega-popular strategy game blew past its Kickstarter target immediately, ultimately securing 9 times its initial goal by campaign's end.
Starting with a modest $50,000 target, The Epic Raid amassed an impressive $491,000 total. While Clash of Clans' massive fanbase made this outcome expected, the numbers remain remarkable.
Over recent weeks, board game reviewers and enthusiast sites have gotten hands-on with The Epic Raid, offering fans deeper insights into gameplay mechanics - perfect for those craving detailed information before purchase.
Given Supercell's recent focus on cross-media expansions - including mobile collaborations and the forthcoming Netflix animated series - The Epic Raid's successful launch aligns perfectly with the company's strategy.
This tabletop version promises to deliver a faithful yet streamlined interpretation of Clash of Clans' gameplay. While traditional mobile gamers might overlook this adaptation, board game enthusiasts and crossover fans will likely find it worth adding to their holiday wish lists.
