Crusader Kings III Chapter IV: Expanding Horizons with Mongols and Asia

Paradox Interactive has unveiled an exciting lineup of upcoming content for *Crusader Kings III* as part of Chapter IV, which will roll out throughout 2025. This chapter focuses on expanding the game's scope to Asia, introducing new mechanics and regions for players to explore.

The journey begins with the recently released cosmetic DLC, *Crowns of the World*. This small yet stylish pack offers players six crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, providing more options to personalize their rulers and enhance the visual appeal of their dynasties.

On April 28, the first major DLC, *Khans of the Steppe*, will debut, allowing players to take command of the Mongols. As the Great Khan, you’ll lead a nomadic horde, conquering lands and establishing dominance over neighboring territories. This expansion promises thrilling gameplay as you navigate the challenges of leading a vast, mobile empire.

Following this, *Coronations* will introduce a new ceremonial mechanic where players can legitimize their reign through grand coronation events. These ceremonies will involve hosting extravagant festivities, making solemn vows, and deciding the path of your kingdom. Additionally, new advisor and vassal events will enhance political interactions, adding depth to royal succession. This DLC is slated for release in Q3 (July–September).

The chapter concludes with *All Under Heaven*, a massive expansion arriving later in the year. It features the entire East Asian map, including detailed depictions of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. This expansion provides players with vast new territories to explore and conquer, offering a rich tapestry of cultures and historical events to engage with.

In between these major DLC releases, Paradox will issue patches to refine game systems and improve AI behavior. The developers are actively seeking player input to shape future updates, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26. This ongoing dialogue ensures that *Crusader Kings III* continues to evolve and meet the expectations of its dedicated community.
