Koei Tecmo has unveiled a new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, an exciting new addition to the Team Ninja fighting game series. This romance game, slated for release on March 27, will be available on PS5, PS4, and PC. A unique "global version" will also be offered for sale in Asia, featuring English text support, allowing a broader audience to enjoy the game.
In Venus Vacation PRISM, players can indulge in a variety of mini-games, switch character personas, and soak in the tropical island ambiance. The developers have promised numerous ways to forge relationships with the game's heroines, ensuring a deep and engaging romantic narrative. This title represents an experimental shift for fans of the Dead or Alive series, offering a fresh gaming experience while preserving the franchise's distinctive style.
Despite this innovative approach, Koei Tecmo remains vigilant about the franchise's image. Annually, the publisher diligently removes approximately 200-300 doujinshi and 2,000-3,000 images of the fighting game characters, which often feature the series' heroines in swimwear. While the Dead or Alive series is celebrated for its gameplay and charming characters, the developers are keen on curbing the proliferation of unauthorized "adult" fan art, maintaining a balance between fan creativity and brand integrity.
