Our review of the first six episodes of the Delicious in Dungeon anime praised it for its "charming character work, playful comedy, luxuriously presented dishes, and the loving depiction of their creation. Its world-building and earnest reflections on the value of cooking rituals – even while poking fun at the main character's absurd mindset – make it unmissable appointment viewing."
