The announcement also hinted at a potential story element, with several named characters and Digimon introduced, setting Digimon Alysion apart from the more gameplay-focused Pokémon TCG Pocket. Although no specific release date has been announced, Gematsu reported that a closed beta test is on the horizon, with further details to be shared soon.
Given the massive popularity of Pokémon TCG Pocket, Digimon Alysion could be a welcome addition for fans eager for more Digimon card battling action. Meanwhile, on the Pokémon side, developers have acknowledged the need for changes to the trading system in Pokémon TCG Pocket, though these updates may take some time to implement.
Digimon Alysion aims to expand the reach of its card game to a broader audience. With the resurgence of interest in card-based games featuring beloved monsters, the stage is set for a renewed rivalry between Pokémon and Digimon. As Digimon Alysion progresses towards its eventual launch, fans of these iconic franchises will have more options than ever to enjoy their favorite card games.
