Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Rumored for Nintendo Switch 2, According to Saudi Ratings Board

Jul 16,2025 Author: Michael

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has recently been rated for the Nintendo Switch 2, sparking fresh speculation about a potential release on the upcoming console—even though Nintendo has yet to officially confirm it.

Although there's still no official word that this highly anticipated fighting game will be coming to the Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation (via Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit) seems to confirm its arrival. The post described the game as "Available on Nintendo Switch 2" and mentioned "3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices." It also received a 12+ rating before being removed.

Featuring an impressive roster of characters pulled directly from Akira Toriyama’s beloved Dragon Ball universe, Sparking! Zero revives the classic gameplay style of the Budokai Tenkaichi series while enhancing it with modern mechanics. Each fighter brings their own signature moves, transformations, and battle techniques, offering both nostalgic charm and updated action.

IGN awarded the title a 7/10 in our Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, noting: "Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."

Meanwhile, pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 officially went live on April 24 at a set price of $449.99—though availability was limited due to overwhelming demand. In fact, Nintendo issued a notice to U.S. customers who pre-ordered through the My Nintendo Store, stating that delivery dates could not be guaranteed.
