The highly anticipated survival MMO, *Dune: Awakening*, is set to launch on May 20th, 2025, and fans can now dive into the immersive world of Arrakis by creating their characters ahead of time. This early access to the Character Creator not only lets players personalize every detail of their avatar but also offers a chance to receive an exclusive Frameblade knife skin upon the game's release. With the ability to choose your home planet, caste, and mentor or class, you can tailor your character to fit your envisioned journey through the sands of Dune.
*Dune: Awakening* will be available on PC via Steam at launch, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions to follow. The game, developed by Funcom, also includes a Benchmark Mode, allowing players to test their PC's performance and optimize graphics settings for the best gaming experience. This mode takes you through a player-built base in the desert, the bustling Harko Village, and an epic encounter with a massive sandworm.
Priced at USD 49.99, *Dune: Awakening* offers pre-order options that include a unique in-base decoration, the Terrarium of Muad'Dib, featuring the beloved desert kangaroo mouse from the series. Pre-orders will soon be available on Steam, giving players a head start on their adventure.
Set in the universe of Frank Herbert's iconic Dune novels and inspired by the movie adaptations, *Dune: Awakening* is an open-world multiplayer survival game where you begin as a prisoner tasked with unraveling the mystery of the vanished Fremen. The game's narrative will see your character evolve from obscurity to a pivotal agent of either the Atreides or the Harkonnen factions.
The game's setting, the vast and ever-changing desert of Arrakis, provides endless opportunities for exploration. Each week brings new locations, challenges, and rewards, encouraging players to be the first to uncover them. In Arrakis, you can construct bases, engage in combat, explore uncharted territories, and interact with other inhabitants, all while forging your own legacy and climbing the ranks of the Dune universe.
