The Dynasty Warriors franchise, a staple in the action genre for decades, returns with Dynasty Warriors: Origins, a reboot seven years in the making. This new installment aims to revitalize the series for both longtime fans and newcomers, delivering the signature Musou action they crave. With this reboot, many players have questions, and we're here to answer some of the most frequently asked.
Unfortunately, Dynasty Warriors: Origins does not offer any multiplayer functionality, a point of disappointment for some series veterans.
Unlike previous entries, Dynasty Warriors: Origins features a fixed protagonist. You won't be able to switch characters during the main campaign.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins acts as a reboot, presenting familiar battles and events through the eyes of a new, original hero. Prior game knowledge isn't required, making it an ideal entry point for newcomers.
While battles take place in large, expansive areas, these aren't connected as a single open world. Players navigate between areas using an overworld map.
Contrary to initial speculation, Dynasty Warriors: Origins will not be released on PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. It's currently confirmed for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins launches at midnight (local time) on January 17th.
Purchasing the Digital Deluxe Edition grants up to 72 hours of early access, allowing play starting at midnight (local time) on January 14th.
Console preloads are available. The game size is approximately 43 GB (PS5) and 44 GB (Xbox Series X|S). PC users should allocate at least 50 GB of hard drive space.
