EA Launches Playtest for The Sims Spinoff, City Life Game with Friends

Electronic Arts, commonly known as EA, is currently running an exclusive playtest for their new mobile game, City Life Game with Friends, as part of their ambitious Sims Project Rene. This limited-time playtest is designed to gather crucial feedback on the game's performance and player interaction. If you're an Android user, you might be eligible to dive into this early version of the game and help shape its future.

Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?

The playtest is exclusively available for Android devices, requiring your phone to be updated to at least Android 12 with a minimum of 4GB of RAM. However, participation is not open to everyone; it's restricted to specific regions. The playtest will run until April 4th, 2025, but be aware of the varying end times: 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest concludes, the game will no longer be accessible, and you'll need to uninstall it from your device.

Keep in mind, this isn't the full version of the game or a complete preview of what the final product will be. Instead, it offers a glimpse into the direction EA might be taking with this exciting project. There's a palpable sense of experimentation, with EA exploring a variety of innovative ideas.

What’s in Store?

Once you're in the playtest, you'll have the opportunity to create a character that truly reflects your personal style and vibe. The game's neighborhood is bustling with activities to engage in. You can visit the Thrift Shop to find new outfits, relax at the Café, or participate in community events.

The gameplay encourages collaboration and social interaction. You can join forces with other players to organize block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, and search for hidden collectibles. The game emphasizes community building through shared interests in art, music, and engaging conversations.

If you're intrigued and located in one of the playtest regions, you can check out City Life Game with Friends on the Google Play Store. If this doesn't interest you, stay tuned for our next news update on Bandai Namco's decision to discontinue PAC-MAN Mobile on its 45th Anniversary.
