微软推出了针对 PC 游戏优化的全新游戏内浏览器 Edge Game Assist 的预览版本！微软表示：“88% 的 PC 玩家在玩游戏时会使用浏览器来获取帮助、追踪进度，甚至收听音乐或与朋友聊天。这些操作需要您拿出手机或 Alt+Tab 切换到 PC 桌面，从而中断游戏。” 整个过程相当繁琐，因此他们相信有更好的方法，于是 Edge Game Assist 诞生了。
Edge Game Assist 是“第一个提供丰富游戏中心浏览体验的游戏内浏览器——包括访问您来自 PC 和移动设备的浏览器数据”。此标准 Microsoft Edge 的特殊版本通过游戏栏以叠加层形式显示在玩家游戏的顶部，提供流畅的体验，无需 Alt+Tab 切出游戏。它还将共享与实际 Edge 浏览器相同的个人数据，因此所有收藏夹、历史记录、Cookie 和表单填充都可用——无需登录。
