Following the success of their initial partnership, the renowned sports simulator eFootball has just announced the release of volume two of its collaboration with the beloved manga series, Captain Tsubasa. This exciting update introduces an array of new rewards, all inspired by the iconic sports manga!
As a quick refresher, Captain Tsubasa, created by Yoichi Takahashi, is a legendary multimedia franchise that follows the journey of Tsubasa Oozora from a young amateur to a world-class professional footballer.
Volume two of the collaboration brings fresh log-in bonuses, including exclusive cards illustrated by Takahashi himself. These cards feature top football personalities like Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi. Additionally, players can obtain unique crossover cards that blend the characters from the series with real-life legends such as Michel Platini x Elle Sid Pierre and Diego Forlán x Ramon Victorino.
In the world of manga, Captain Tsubasa stands tall alongside other giants like Dragon Ball and One Piece. Its influence has sparked a global fascination with sports-themed series, paving the way for modern hits like Blue Lock, which has also made multiple appearances in mobile gaming. Even those unfamiliar with Captain Tsubasa will appreciate its significant impact on the genre.
In addition to the collaboration news, eFootball has also kicked off the in-game qualifiers for the eFootball Championship 2025 Open. The first round of qualifiers will run until February 6th, offering players the opportunity to advance and compete for the title of World Champion in the Open.
