Google Play Awards 2024: Eggy Party Wins Big!
Tencent's Eggy Party is celebrating a major win at the Google Play Awards 2024, taking home the coveted "Best Pick Up & Play" award across numerous regions, including Europe, the United States, and the Middle East & North Africa. This follows another win for the indie puzzler Dadoo, highlighting a strong showing from diverse game titles.
Eggy Party, a multiplayer battle royale featuring frantic obstacle courses and minigames, has clearly resonated with players. While drawing inspiration from similar titles like Fall Guys and Stumble Guys, Eggy Party’s success, particularly on mobile, seems to stem from Tencent's backing and its strong execution.
This "Best Pick Up & Play" accolade underscores Eggy Party's achievement in creating an accessible and engaging multiplayer experience. Although no in-game celebratory events have been announced (yet), the recognition is sure to please fans.
A Notable Victory
Eggy Party's win is particularly significant given its broad regional success. While other games received awards, Eggy Party's dominance in its category is noteworthy. Although its gameplay mechanics are reminiscent of other obstacle-based battle royales, Eggy Party has evidently introduced enough innovative elements to capture a large player base.
