The trailer introduces "ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN as a co-op survival action game where players navigate a vast and perilous field alongside others. As Nightfarers, you'll battle through endless nights, facing numerous vicious foes across three grueling days."

The video provides a comprehensive look at what players can expect, detailing how each playthrough will unfold. Players are thrust into Limveld to hunt down the Nightlords who dominate the region. The challenge is to defeat these formidable foes, navigating through a landscape filled with enemies, treasures, and mysteries.

The gameplay loop involves gathering resources during the day and confronting bosses at night. As each day progresses, the map shrinks, introducing new enemies. By the end of the third day, players must confront a powerful Nightlord to conclude their expedition.

The trailer emphasizes, "the layout of Limveld will change each time you visit." This means that bases, enemy types, chest rewards, and more will be randomized with each run, keeping the gameplay fresh and unpredictable. Players might encounter sudden ambushes or environmental events like meteor strikes or volcanic eruptions.

Last 2 Classes Teased

The overview trailer also teased the last two classes of Nightreign, yet to be officially revealed. A glimpse at the character select screen introduced a new character named Executor.

Executor appears as a knight wielding a sword capable of being imbued with power. A brief clip showcased him parrying and countering an enemy. Additionally, a sneak peek at another character, a female Nightfarer with greyish hair wielding a harp, was shown at the end of the Nightfarers' segment.

The Roundtable Hold

Nightreign introduces a base known as the Roundtable, where players can prepare for their battles in Limveld. This hidden area allows players to equip relics, purchase items, and customize their characters.

Relics, obtained during expeditions, enhance players' abilities and can be combined in various ways to suit different playstyles. These relics are available at the base from a Jar Merchant, requiring "Murk," a currency earned from battles, for purchases.

The "fitting mirror" feature lets players change their characters' attire, offering a range of cosmetic options that do not impact gameplay. The trailer showcased some of these outfits, including nostalgic Souls costumes like Solaire of Astora, Faraam, the God of War, and Ringfinger Leonhard from Dark Souls 3.

Players can also collect "fragments of lost memories" during expeditions, which enrich the lore of each Nightfarer. These memories can present new objectives for players to achieve, revealing the origins and purposes of each Nightfarer.

PC Requirements

Nightreign's PC requirements are surprisingly accessible. FromSoftware revealed the game's minimum and recommended settings on April 28 via Twitter (X), which are achievable for most gaming setups.

The minimum specs include an Intel Core i5 10600 or Ryzen 5 5500, while the recommended specs suggest an Intel Core i5 11500 or Ryzen 5600. Memory requirements are 12 GB for minimum and 16 GB for recommended.

Graphics card requirements are similarly close, with the minimum being a GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580, and the recommended a GTX 1070 or Radeon RX Vega 56. Fans have praised FromSoftware's optimization efforts, especially noting the game's modest 30 GB storage requirement.
