If your favorite film series is Hellraiser and you enjoy a bit of ironic naming, you're in for a treat with Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge's latest faction—the Emperor's Children! These cruel warriors, driven by a relentless pursuit of stimulation and sensation, embody the epitome of egotism and arrogance. With three new warlords and a range of distinct new mechanics and units, you're set to experience a thrillingly fresh gameplay.
Originally a loyalist Space Marine legion, the Emperor's Children turned their backs on the Imperium during the Horus Heresy. Now, devoted solely to the chaos god Slaanesh and their own desires, they've fragmented into various warbands that scour the galaxy for new thrills.
You'll have the choice of three new warlords. Lord Kaphrael, leader of the Callous Blades, specializes in eliminating enemy champions. Xarahan, on the other hand, personifies the arrogance and egotism that the Emperor's Children are known for. And then there's the infamous Lucius the Eternal, whose exceptional swordsmanship has been honed over millennia.
**I see you tremble with anticipation** The Emperor's Children introduce some chilling new mechanics. Cards marked with Ecstasy gain effects when their health drops to a certain level. Cards with Cruelty benefit from damaging (but not destroying) enemy units. Stimulation activates abilities when the unit is targeted by stratagems. And with Combat Elixirs, certain cards can generate additional stratagems to trigger their unique abilities!
Starting now, you can dive into the Emperor's Children's world with new booster packs and DLC, allowing you to torment your foes with their new abilities and units.
