Star Wars Celebration has unveiled thrilling new details about an upcoming update for *Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run*, centered around The Mandalorian and Grogu. This exciting update, set to launch on May 22, 2026, will coincide with the release of the new movie. In this update, engineers will have the unique opportunity to care for Grogu, while adventurers can explore the iconic planet of Coruscant, in addition to Tatooine, Bespin, and Endor, in a choose-your-own-adventure-style storyline.
This update will take players on "a different path" from the plot of *The Mandalorian & Grogu* movie, yet it will still prominently feature Din Djarin and Grogu. The story kicks off with Hondo Ohnaka discovering a deal on Tatooine between ex-Imperial officers and pirates, sparking a high-stakes chase across the galaxy. Guests will join forces with Mando and Grogu to pursue these criminals and claim a bounty in a dynamic, galaxy-spanning adventure.

While full details are still under wraps, it's clear that engineers will play a more significant role, tasked with looking after Grogu. What could be more exciting than that?
To delve deeper into what's in store, we spoke with Walt Disney Imagineering's Asa Kalama, who provided some insights into the new experience.
"Throughout the mission, we're going to be giving the engineers the opportunity to actually communicate with Grogu," Kalama explained. "We think it's going to be a ton of fun. There may be times when Mando has to deboard the Razor Crest, leaving Grogu to his own devices, which might result in him getting a little adventurous on the control panel. We love the idea of these fun little vignettes and moments where you're interacting with Grogu over the comm."
Regarding the choose-your-own-adventure aspect, Kalama shared that there will be "a critical moment in your adventure where you are strapped for time and have to make a lightning-quick decision about which bounty to pursue. This choice will be the inciting incident that determines your subsequent destinations."
