While cruising and causing chaos are fun in GTA Online, leveling up your character's stats enhances gameplay. Strength, impacting melee combat, sports, and even climbing, is particularly valuable but notoriously difficult to raise. Here are ten effective methods:
1. Good Old Fashioned Punching:
Land 20 punches (on NPCs or players) for a 1% Strength increase. Team up with a friend for efficient co-leveling.
2. Fail the Bar Resupply:
The Criminal Enterprises DLC's "Bar Resupply" mission offers a repeatable exploit. Repeatedly punch the NPC until the mission fails due to time constraints; the punches still count towards Strength gains. Note: Mission parameters may require retries.
3. Get a Helping Hand:
Have a friend sit in a car while you repeatedly punch it. The game registers this as hitting the occupant, granting Strength gains. Take turns for mutual benefit.
4. Spam "A Titan of a Job":
This mission (Rank 24+) allows pre-airport punching. Head to a high-pedestrian area and punch NPCs before engaging the mission's objective to gain Strength without incurring a wanted level.
5. Abuse "Pier Pressure":
Similar to "A Titan of a Job," "Pier Pressure" allows for pre-mission punching at Del Perro Beach without a wanted level.
6. Stall "Death Metal":
This Gerald mission also offers a pre-objective punching opportunity. Head to a populated area (like the beach) and punch NPCs to your heart's content.
7. Join a Fists-Only Deathmatch:
Search for or create a Deathmatch with fists as the only weapon. This provides a fun and efficient way to increase Strength.
8. Create a Survival Mission:
Use the Content Creator to design a Survival mission with low-difficulty, unarmed enemies. Testing the mission grants significant Strength gains.
9. Close the Metro for a Fistfight:
Block a metro entrance/exit with a vehicle to trap NPCs. Punch them repeatedly as they respawn.
10. Get Golfing:
Higher Strength equates to longer drives. Play golf to indirectly increase your Strength stat.
