The Epic Games Store's mobile app, recently launched on iOS, is now offering a weekly rotation of free games. The inaugural lineup features Super Meat Boy Forever and Eastern Exorcist, both available for download on Android and iOS.
Super Meat Boy Forever, a highly anticipated sequel, brings back the challenging side-scrolling platforming action of the original. Players once again control Meat Boy, this time on a mission to rescue his child, Nugget, from the clutches of Dr. Fetus. Be prepared for a difficult but rewarding experience.
Eastern Exorcist offers a different kind of challenge. This side-scrolling action RPG transports players to a visually stunning world inspired by Japanese and Chinese mythology. As the titular exorcist, you'll battle monsters, evil spirits, and wield powerful sorcery across breathtaking landscapes.
Epic Games' decision to offer weekly free games on mobile reflects the fast-paced nature of the mobile gaming market. This strategy aims to attract players' attention amidst the constant influx of new releases.
While the long-term success of this model remains to be seen, the initial offerings are certainly appealing. Super Meat Boy Forever delivers a satisfying sequel to a beloved classic, while Eastern Exorcist presents a visually captivating and engaging action RPG.
