After a brief delay to complete the Outlaw Keycard Community Quest, Story Quests are back in *Fortnite* Chapter 6, Season 2. However, they’ve stepped up their game, particularly with Stage 4. Here’s your guide on how to equip the Sensor Backpack and scan Mysterious Energy Signatures in *Fortnite*.
Stage 3 of the Wanted: Midas Quests requires you to open an Outlaw Chest, which means you need to achieve Rare rarity with the Outlaw Keycard. This task can take a couple of hours as it involves robbing vaults, eliminating guards, and spending a hefty amount of gold. Once you conquer this challenge and open that Outlaw Chest, you’ll unlock Stage 4, which isn't a walk in the park.
In *Fortnite*, the "Sensor Backpack" isn't something you'll find in Chests or lying around on the ground. Instead, head to the wolf statue south of Crime City, where you can also join the Secret Wolf Pack. Once you get there, you’ll see a case on the ground. Interact with it, and the Sensor Backpack will take the place of your Back Bling.

With the Sensor Backpack equipped, your next mission is to scan the Mysterious Energy Signatures in *Fortnite*. There are three signatures, conveniently located near the spot where you found the backpack. Just head up the mountain, and you’ll spot three areas marked with exclamation points. When you reach the nearest one, glowing strings of light will appear. Simply interact with them to scan the signature.
These signatures are relatively close to each other, but you must interact with all three to complete the Sensor Backpack Quest and earn your XP. Stay vigilant, though, as other players might be on the same mission and could send you back to the lobby. It’s wise to gear up before heading to the mountain to be prepared for any encounters.
Once you’ve completed the Sensor Backpack challenge, you can move on to Stage 5, which involves stealing a copy of the Mask-Making Book from the Mask Maker’s Hideout. With smart time management, you can tackle this challenge in the same game, especially if you have a vehicle at your disposal.
