- Kekker defeats Han to become the first international champion of Etheria: Restart in a spectacular grand final
- Shanghai hosts the game's inaugural major offline esports competition
- Recent update expands gameplay with two new characters and a PvE mode
Etheria: Restart has officially crowned its first global champion. Following an intense weekend of strategic battles in Shanghai, Kekker triumphed at the Etheria World Summit (EWS), overcoming Han in a closely contested final to claim a $15,000 prize and significant prestige.
Organized by XD Games, the EWS Invitational marked Etheria's debut as an offline esports event, with Kekker's victory setting a high standard for future competitors. All matches utilized standardized accounts, emphasizing tactical skill and battlefield adaptability over collection strength.
Kekker emerged victorious from a field of 128 global competitors through seven grueling bracket rounds. Beyond the financial reward, Kekker gained prestige and the opportunity to face a surprise legendary guest in a special exhibition match. Han secured $7,000 as runner-up, while semi-finalists each earned $4,000.

Alongside the main competition, the finals featured a casual invitational match that brought together regional personalities for a light-hearted showcase of diverse strategies. Discover the top-performing characters with our Etheria Restart tier list!
If you haven't played Etheria recently, this tournament presents the perfect reason to return. The latest update introduced the PvE Dreamscape mode – a rotating maze with dynamic elemental bosses and valuable rewards. Participation requires dream keys and nerves of steel to survive the challenge.
Additionally, two new characters joined the roster this month. Fuqiu empowers allies with turn acceleration and healing capabilities, while Nahor specializes in crowd control debuffs effective in both PvE and PvP scenarios. Together, they revitalize the meta just as competitive play intensifies.
