Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 to Introduce Multiplayer Platformer Event

A recent Zenless Zone Zero leak has disclosed a new event featuring a multiplayer platformer mode for Version 1.5, expected to launch in late January. The update will introduce characters Astra Yao and Evelyn, alongside additional content.

In December, Zenless Zone Zero rolled out Version 1.4, bringing two new playable characters and an S-Rank Bangboo. It also introduced two permanent battle-focused gameplay modes. However, the game often features temporary modes for special events, offering diverse gameplay. For instance, the recent "Bangboo vs Ethereal" event included a tower defense mode with Bangboo. A new leak suggests another unique mode is coming in Version 1.5.

Leaker Palito revealed that Zenless Zone Zero will debut a multiplayer platformer mode in Version 1.5, with screenshots showing stages reminiscent of Fall Guys. This mode is likely tied to the temporary "Grand Marcel" event and may not be permanent. It remains unclear whether players will control their chosen character or a Bangboo in these stages. The event is expected to offer rewards like Polychromes, in addition to rumored extra free pulls for Version 1.5.

Zenless Zone Zero Leak Unveils Platformer Event

While a platformer mode is new for Zenless Zone Zero, developer HoYoverse has experience with similar events. In 2022, Honkai Impact 3rd's 6.1 update featured the "Midnight Chronicle" event with Fall Guys-inspired stages, where players used chibi versions of characters. Zenless Zone Zero might adopt a similar approach, possibly featuring its popular Bangboo. The game already allows Bangboo gameplay in modes like Hollow Zero, and fans have been eager for more chances to play as them.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 is slated for release on January 22, adding Astra Yao and her bodyguard Evelyn to the roster. Leaks also suggest Nicole, a fan-favorite since launch, will receive the game’s first character skin. Additionally, rumors indicate that Ellen, another original character, may get her own Agent Story in the upcoming patch.
