Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!
Final Fantasy XIV is offering a free login campaign from January 9th to February 6th, 2025, allowing eligible players with inactive accounts to enjoy four consecutive days of free gameplay. This campaign is available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
This opportunity to return to Eorzea comes hot on the heels of Patch 7.15, which introduced new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, including the much-anticipated return of the Hildibrand adventures and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida recently shared his annual New Year's message, confirming the arrival of Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, alongside smaller updates. He also teased a cryptic hint regarding the future direction of the Dawntrail main storyline, sparking much speculation among players.
The Free Login Campaign, starting January 9th at 3:00 AM Eastern Time and ending February 6th at 9:59 AM Eastern Time, grants up to four days of free play. The 96-hour timer begins upon logging in via the game launcher. Eligibility requires a purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign start. Accounts suspended or cancelled due to Terms of Service violations are ineligible. Square Enix encourages players to verify their eligibility via the Mog Station.
While the campaign runs, players can participate in the Heavensturn event (until January 16th) to earn a special minion reward. Patch 7.16, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest side series, arrives on January 21st. This free period provides a perfect chance for lapsed players to catch up on the Dawntrail storyline before the release of Patch 7.2. The future of Dawntrail in 2025 remains shrouded in mystery, leaving players eagerly anticipating Square Enix's next reveal.
