Final Fantasy XVI's PC port, released alongside a PS5 update, is experiencing significant performance hurdles and glitches. This article delves into the specific performance issues affecting both platforms.
Performance Bottlenecks on PC, Even with High-End Hardware
While PC gamers anticipated a visually stunning 4K/60fps experience, benchmarks reveal that even the mighty NVIDIA RTX 4090 struggles to maintain a consistent 60fps at native 4K with maximum settings. DSOGaming's John Papadopoulos highlights this unexpected performance limitation.
However, a solution exists: enabling DLSS 3 Frame Generation with DLAA can reportedly boost frame rates beyond 80fps. DLSS 3 leverages AI to generate additional frames, enhancing smoothness, while DLAA improves image quality with minimal performance impact.
Launched on PlayStation 5 over a year ago, Final Fantasy XVI's Complete Edition (including base game and expansions) finally arrived on PC on September 17th. Before launching, verify your system meets the minimum or recommended specifications to ensure optimal gameplay.
