FIFA Partners with eFootball for 2024 FIFAe World Cup!

The unexpected collaboration between Konami and FIFA is shaking up the esports world, especially after years of fierce competition between FIFA and PES. Now, they're teaming up for the FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024, which will be hosted on Konami's eFootball platform. This crossover event is truly something fans didn't anticipate, but it's here and it's happening!

The In-Game Qualifiers Are Already Live In eFootball!

This year's tournament is split into two categories: Console (PS4 and PS5) and Mobile. The final rounds will see players from 18 countries vying for the top spot: Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, England, France, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey.

From October 10th to 20th, participants will tackle the three-part in-game qualifiers. Following this, the National Nomination Phases will run from October 28th to November 3rd for each of the 18 competing nations.

The final showdown will take place offline at the end of 2024, though Konami has yet to announce the precise date. If you're not from one of the 18 eligible countries, you can still participate in the qualifiers up to Round 3 and earn rewards like 50 eFootball coins, 30,000 XP, and other in-game goodies.

FIFA x Konami’s eFootball Is Amusing!

It's almost comical to see these two former rivals collaborate on an esports event after years of competition. The backstory? EA parted ways with FIFA in 2022 after a long-term partnership, as FIFA sought a licensing fee of a staggering $1 billion every four years—a massive increase from the $150 million they were previously receiving. The deal collapsed, leading to the release of EA Sports FC 24 in 2023 without the FIFA branding. Now, FIFA has found a new partner in Konami's eFootball for the FIFAe World Cup 2024.

Jump into the action by downloading eFootball from the Google Play Store. There's a special event running now where you can unlock a custom-designed Bruno Fernandes and benefit from an 8x match experience multiplier to accelerate your Dream Team's progress.
