Pre-Order Bonuses & Save Data Bonuses For Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth On PC
Different Editions Of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth On PC Explained
Is Digital Deluxe Edition Of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Worth It?
The highly anticipated second chapter of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, arrives on PC on January 23, 2025. Unlike its predecessor, this PC release offers a choice of editions, alongside enticing pre-order bonuses and save data rewards. This guide breaks down everything you need to know to choose the perfect edition for your PC gaming experience.
PC gamers can rejoice! Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, offering identical pricing across both platforms. Unfortunately, the game will not be available on GOG, meaning DRM-free options are not currently available. This leaves Steam and the Epic Games Store as the only avenues for purchase.
Pre-ordering Final Fantasy VII Rebirth before 13:59 (UTC) on January 23rd grants you these bonuses, regardless of the edition or storefront:
While these items may eventually be sold separately, the current 30% pre-order discount on all editions, valid until the release date, provides a strong incentive to pre-purchase. After January 23rd, the game will revert to its full price.
Carry over your save data from Final Fantasy VII Remake for additional rewards in Rebirth:
To claim these bonuses, use the same account and ensure your save data resides on the same PC where Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is installed.
PC players can choose between the Standard Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes extra content, but is the premium price justified? Let's compare.
The Standard Edition is priced at $69.99, discounted to $48.99 with the pre-order offer. This edition contains only the base game and the Posh Chocobo summoning materia (included in both editions). It's the most affordable option for players focused solely on the core game experience.
The Digital Deluxe Edition costs $89.99, or $62.99 with the pre-order discount. It includes:
A $20 upgrade is available for Standard Edition owners who later decide they want the Digital Deluxe Edition's extra content. This provides flexibility for those unsure about the additional items' value.
For most players, the extra cost of the Digital Deluxe Edition might not be justified. The Art Book and Mini Soundtrack are nice-to-haves, but their value is subjective. The additional in-game items offer minor gameplay enhancements but don't significantly alter the core experience. Unless the bonus items are highly desirable, the Standard Edition provides excellent value for the core game.
