Charlie Cox's successful transition from Netflix to the MCU as Daredevil has sparked speculation about potential comebacks for other Defenders characters. Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist, recently expressed his eagerness to return, stating, "I’m here and I’m ready," at LaConve, an anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico.
Jones last donned the role of Danny Rand in Season 2 of the Iron Fist Netflix series and in The Defenders, where he teamed up with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter). Despite the less favorable reception to his portrayal of Iron Fist compared to the other Defenders, Jones remains hopeful. He acknowledged the criticism but urged fans and Marvel to give him another chance, saying, "Give me a f\*\*\*ing chance, man. I want to prove people wrong."
Daredevil's integration into the MCU has fueled hopes for a revival of The Defenders, with recent reports suggesting Marvel is "exploring" this possibility. The Netflix series, including Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, are now officially part of the MCU canon, available on Disney+ alongside other MCU shows and films. Jon Bernthal's Punisher, another character from the Netflix universe, also features in the upcoming series, Daredevil: Born Again.
