Most quests in Path of Exile 2 involve reaching a location and defeating a boss. Ancient Vows follows this pattern, but its lack of specific directions makes it tricky. Follow this guide for a smooth completion.
Completing the Quest:
The Ancient Vows quest activates upon obtaining either the Sun Clan Relic or the Kabala Clan Relic. These powerful artifacts are hidden within the Bone Pits and Keth, respectively. Expect a challenging fight through these areas to locate them; the relics are random enemy drops.
Once you secure a relic, head to the Valley of the Titans. The game's randomly generated maps prevent precise location details, but here's the key: find a waypoint within the Valley of the Titans. A large statue with an altar is usually nearby. Place the relic on the altar by dragging and dropping it into the designated slot.

Rewards:
You'll choose between two passive effects:
Changing your mind is possible, but it requires returning to the altar, potentially navigating hostile areas again.

While the rewards may seem modest at first glance, understanding Charms in Path of Exile 2 reveals their significance in boosting survivability, especially during boss fights. The choice depends on your playstyle and whether Charm Charges or Mana Flask efficiency is more critical.
