Forspoken Fails to Impress PS Plus Subscribers

Forspoken, despite its free PS Plus offering nearly a year post-release, continues to spark heated player discussions. The game's value remains a contentious point, with opinions sharply divided between those who played it for free and those who purchased it at full price.

The December 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium additions, including Forspoken and Sonic Frontiers, generated surprisingly positive initial feedback. However, this enthusiasm quickly waned for some Forspoken players. Many abandoned the game within hours, citing poor storytelling and "ridiculous dialogue" as key reasons. While others appreciated the combat, parkour, and exploration, a common sentiment emerged: Forspoken's narrative and dialogue significantly detract from the overall experience.

PS Plus's free offering, it seems, hasn't revitalized Forspoken's reception. The game's inherent inconsistencies continue to be a major point of contention. In this action RPG, New Yorker Frey is transported to the breathtaking yet perilous land of Atia. There, she must master newfound magical abilities to navigate the expansive world, battle formidable creatures, and defeat powerful matriarchs known as the Tants, all in a desperate bid to return home.
