The Wanted: Joss Outlaw Quests in *Fortnite* Chapter 6, Season 2 are challenging, to say the least. The Big Dill challenge has players buzzing, but it's just the beginning. Here’s your comprehensive guide on how to collect mineral samples using the Plasma Burst Laser in *Fortnite*.
The Plasma Burst Laser is a standout item in the Lawless season, renowned for its ability to break into Vaults across the map. As an Epic item, it's not easy to find, but your best bet is to check Points of Interest (POIs) with Vaults, such as Crime City, which is packed with Go Bags and Chests. Alternatively, you can purchase the Plasma Burst Laser at two Black Markets for 600 Gold. While the Black Market south of Seaport City is an option, the one near Magic Mosses is more convenient since the next step of the challenge requires you to return to Joss’ lab to analyze the mineral samples.

Once you've secured your Plasma Burst Laser, it's time to find a suitable stone structure. Not just any stone will suffice; the structure must be breakable. The Escapist team learned this the hard way when they tried using permanent stone structures without success. You'll need to locate a piece of stone that can be destroyed with your Pickaxe.
With your target in sight, aim the Plasma Burst Laser at the stone and fire away. Keep going until the stone breaks. Don't expect the mineral samples to magically appear in your inventory; instead, look for a small piece of rock that drops to the ground. Interact with this rock to collect the mineral samples and complete the Quest.
After collecting the samples, you won't have to travel far to reach Joss' lab. The game will guide you to the specific spot inside her lab where you need to go. Interact once more to analyze the samples, earn additional XP, and successfully wrap up the Wanted: Joss Outlaw Quests. Then, you can return to your usual *Fortnite* gameplay and flaunt your newly unlocked items.
And there you have it—how to collect mineral samples using the Plasma Burst Laser in *Fortnite* Chapter 6. For those eager for more, check out all the rumored collaborations for the Lawless season.
*Fortnite is available to play on various platforms, including the Meta Quest 2 and 3.*
