Fortnite: Guide to Obtaining Typhoon Blade

Feb 21,2025 Author: Elijah

This guide details how to obtain and utilize the Typhoon Blade in Fortnite Chapter 6. The Typhoon Blade is a powerful melee weapon offering both combat and mobility advantages.

How to Get the Typhoon Blade

Several methods exist for acquiring this valuable weapon:

1. Typhoon Blade Stands: These stands are located at specific points across the map. While not guaranteed spawns, they provide the most reliable method. Check locations such as Flooded Frogs, Magic Mosses, Lost Lake, Nightshift Forest, and Shogun's Solitude. Interact with the stand to claim the blade.

2. Chests and Floor Loot: While less reliable, the Typhoon Blade can also be found randomly in chests and as floor loot. This method depends on luck but offers an alternative if stands are empty.

3. Defeating Demon Warriors: Demon Warriors, marked on the map, have a chance to drop the Typhoon Blade upon defeat. Three spawn near active portals each match. Note that they may also drop Oni Masks.

4. Purchasing from Kendo: This guarantees acquisition. Find Kendo northeast of Nightshift Forest. Complete all five stages of his Melee Expertise Quests to unlock the purchase option using Gold Bars.

5. Defeating Shogun X (Mythic Version): Defeating Shogun X at Shogun's Arena yields a Mythic Typhoon Blade.

How to Use the Typhoon Blade

The Typhoon Blade has limited durability. Its abilities include:

  • Passive Ability: Increased sprint speed and reduced stamina consumption while equipped.
  • Attack: Slash attack (30 damage per hit, combo attack for 50 damage on final hit). Midair attacks negate fall damage.
  • Cyclone Slash: Heavy attack (90 damage, knocks enemies back). 10-second cooldown.
  • Wind Leap: Leap into the air while sprinting; negates fall damage.
  • Air Dash: Dash forward in midair; negates fall damage.

Remember, the Typhoon Blade's durability depletes with each use. Use it strategically!
