Recent leaks point to an upcoming collaboration between Fortnite and the Devil May Cry franchise. While Fortnite leaks are common, and not all pan out, the persistent buzz surrounding a Devil May Cry crossover suggests a high probability. This collaboration has been anticipated by players for years.
The timing of this potential crossover coincides with other anticipated Fortnite events, including the release of Hatsune Miku. While various speculative character surveys exist, a return to established partnerships seems more likely. Given Fortnite's previous collaborations with Capcom (featuring Resident Evil characters), a Devil May Cry addition would be a natural progression.
Reliable Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, citing sources Loolo_WRLD and Wensoing, corroborates the impending collaboration. Interestingly, XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker initially mentioned this rumor in 2023, and its recent resurgence among insiders strengthens the likelihood of an official announcement.
Devil May Cry's Fortnite Debut: Timing and Character Speculation
Given the numerous anticipated additions to Fortnite in the coming weeks, the Devil May Cry crossover might launch after Chapter 6 Season 1. While some question the validity of the leaks due to the time elapsed since the initial rumor, Nick Baker's proven track record (correctly predicting the Doom and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaborations) lends credence to the claim.
Character selection remains a point of speculation. While Dante and Vergil are the most iconic Devil May Cry characters, and therefore strong contenders, Fortnite's past collaborations suggest alternative possibilities. The recent Cyberpunk 2077 crossover, unexpectedly featuring Female V, highlights the potential for surprising choices. Following the pattern of offering male and female options, Lady, Trish, or Nico could also appear as playable skins. Other popular characters like Nero (Devil May Cry 4) and V (Devil May Cry 5) are also in the running.
With the leak's resurgence, further details are expected soon.
