Fortnite Vault Raiding Guide: Community Tips

Mar 13,2025 Author: Savannah

Fortnite players eager to continue the Outlaws Story Quests are facing a unique challenge: a Community Quest to obtain the Outlaw Keycard, a new gameplay mechanic. This guide explains how to contribute to the community effort by robbing Vaults and Cases.

The mid-season update for Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2, introduces the Outlaw Keycard challenge tab alongside the Outlaw Midas skin. This new feature offers limited information, stating that completing quests will increase the keycard's rarity, unlocking new areas and services in Battle Royale. This has left players wondering how to proceed, especially since the next Story Quests are locked until this Community Quest is completed.

The process appears straightforward: players must participate in Battle Royale matches and rob Vaults and Cases to contribute to the community goal. Similar to the Doctor Doom boss event, this requires collaborative effort. However, unlike the relatively quick defeat of Doctor Doom, this Community Quest appears more involved.

Initial attempts reveal that simply robbing a Vault after landing doesn't immediately progress the challenge's completion bar. This suggests individual efforts are insufficient, and community-wide participation is necessary.

Further suggesting a significant time commitment, the next set of Fortnite Outlaw Quests isn't scheduled until March 25th—a two-week delay. This implies Fortnite developers anticipate the Community Quest could take up to a week to complete. While this might be frustrating for some, the newly available Golden Gunslinger Quests offer alternative gameplay options in the meantime.

In short, completing this Community Quest requires collective effort in robbing Vaults and Cases within Battle Royale matches. For more Fortnite news, check out the rumored collaborations for the Lawless season.

Fortnite is available on various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
