Get ready, PlayStation 5 enthusiasts! Forza Horizon 5, previously exclusive to Xbox and PC, is set to hit the PS5 this fall. Mark your calendars for April 25 if you're opting for the Premium Edition at $99.99, or April 29 if you're going for the standard release. This exciting news was confirmed today on the official Forza Horizon website.
Alongside the PS5 launch, an update titled Horizon Realms will roll out across all platforms on April 25. This update promises to enhance your racing experience with four new cars, a fresh racetrack layout at the Horizon Stadium, and a nostalgic blend of environments from past fan favorites.
For PS5 players, rest assured that Forza Horizon 5 will come packed with all the content available on Xbox and PC. This includes the Car Packs, the thrilling Hot Wheels expansion, and the adventurous Rally Adventure expansion, ensuring you miss out on nothing.
Forza Horizon 5 is part of a growing trend of Xbox-exclusive titles making their way to PlayStation, following in the footsteps of Sea of Thieves and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. This move by Xbox underscores a broader industry conversation about the viability of exclusives, especially as game development costs soar and exclusives potentially limit market reach.
IGN awarded Forza Horizon 5 a perfect 10/10 upon its initial release on Xbox and PC, praising it as "the result of a racing studio at the peak of its craft and the best open-world racing game I’ve ever played." PlayStation owners, you're in for a treat with this highly acclaimed title. Don't miss out on what promises to be an exhilarating addition to your gaming library.
