Since its February debut, The Art of Fauna has emerged as a standout mobile puzzler, blending artistry with thoughtful gameplay. Now, it’s rolling out Friends of Fauna, a free in-app feature designed to engage its community.
The concept is simple: each month, players can submit a photo of an animal—be it a wild species, a service animal, or a cherished pet. One photo is chosen to inspire the month’s puzzle. Kicking things off, a Spectacled Bear photo from Denis B. stars in the first puzzle.
This update also brings fresh app icons, each celebrating community members. Valentin is represented by a Snow Leopard, Vidit and Benedict by a Lion, Shiven by an Orca, and Thomas by a Northern Gannet.
For those new to The Art of Fauna, it’s a tranquil puzzler combining vintage wildlife art with versatile gameplay. Players can solve puzzles visually or through descriptive text, gaining insights about each animal.

Every puzzle image is sourced from 18th- and 19th-century naturalist works by figures like John James Audubon and John Gould, showcasing the elegance and heritage of wildlife illustration. Plus, part of every purchase supports global wildlife conservation.
Submit your animal photos for Friends of Fauna via the link below. The first 10 levels are free, with additional levels available through an in-app purchase. Head to the official website for more details.
