Spanish studio MercurySteam, renowned for their acclaimed work on titles like *Castlevania: Lords of Shadow* and *Metroid Dread*, has announced their latest venture: an action-RPG titled *Blades of Fire*. This new project, developed in partnership with publisher 505 Games, promises to plunge players into a captivating dark fantasy world teeming with mysterious races and fearsome creatures.

The first trailer for *Blades of Fire* offers a glimpse into its fast-paced hack-and-slash combat, distinctive visual style, and a richly atmospheric setting. Fans of MercurySteam's previous works will notice gameplay and artistic design similarities with *Lords of Shadow*, while the game's environment and enemy designs draw inspiration from *Darksiders*.
