Genshin Impact 5.7 Update: Skirk and Dahlia Arrive

HoYoverse has officially announced Genshin Impact's upcoming Version 5.7 update, titled "A Space and Time for You," scheduled for release on June 18. This update introduces new characters, advances the main storyline, adds a fresh combat mode, and features a strategic mini-game developed by the Sumeru Akademiya.

Skirk Makes Her Grand Entrance in Genshin Impact Version 5.7!

Skirk is a mysterious figure with profound connections to the Abyss, primarily known as the elusive mentor of Tartaglia (Childe). Her combat kit is distinctive, centering on the ability to switch between two unique fighting stances. She also utilizes a special mechanic known as Serpent's Subtlety.

Joining her is Dahlia, a new 4-star Hydro character who serves as the Deacon of the Church of Favonius. His abilities are heavily focused on a supportive role. The first half of Version 5.7 will feature Skirk and Dahlia's debut banners alongside a rerun for the Cryo character Shenhe. The second half will see the return of the Pyro Archon Mavuika and the perfumer Emilie.

What's Next for the Story?

The narrative continues directly from the conclusion of the "Bedtime Story" questline. As the Abyss Order begins to mobilize within Natlan, the Traveler's journey alongside their sibling grows more complex, with tensions rising on all fronts. Mavuika and her defenders are preparing for conflict, while Dainsleif appears in a new guise to aid the Traveler on the battlefield.

In a separate event, the Sumeru Akademiya is launching a simulated adventure that blends tactical choices with random encounters. Players will assemble a team of special "Companion Pieces" and select one of two distinct exploration paths: the rainforest or the desert.

Version 5.7 also introduces a new permanent endgame mode named "Stygian Onslaught." This mode features three rotating challenging bosses and six tiers of difficulty. Rewards include Artifacts and a new resource called Dust of Enlightenment, which allows players to re-roll the substats on a fully leveled Level 20 Artifact.

Finally, a new slice-of-life series titled "Travelers’ Tales: Gilded Chapter" will be added, offering a collection of lighthearted stories and moments with characters scattered across Teyvat. Figures like Thoma, Neuvillette, and Dori will each have their own brief, charming narratives.
